Challenging Behaviour
Hi thought I would create a Blog to maybe help or for interest for those who work or are studying in this area of work. I have worked for the last 25 years in this field of work specialising in working with children who suffer form Autism, and Fragile X and Downs Syndrome, ages from 5-18 years old.
I have come to realise that there is a whole world about this area that alot of people need help or advice and have great difficulty recieving the correct help.
I think it would be great for people to have a Blog or Forum that they can tap into when as Parents , Carers , Friends they are struggling with strategies and seek sound advice from experienced people.
It is hard work raising a child with learning difficulties , we all need support and continuing support.
This is a subject that is very close to my hear as my nephew is Autistic and is a fine young man of 22 now and has a wonderful Mum , a good quality of life and is very good at communicating and has great life skillls and always makes his aunty a cup of tea as soon as I am in the door!.
It would be good to have some feedback regarding my New Blog, if you have any queries or just want to off load about your day whether is was good or bad it would be great to hear from you all.
